Questions, answered.

Does solar work through Canadian winters?

Yes. Production is lower in December, but cold temperatures improve panel efficiency and snow usually slides off tilted panels within days. Net metering lets summer surplus offset winter use.

How long does installation take?

One to three days on the roof. From signed proposal to power-on, including permits and utility approval, most projects take 6 to 12 weeks.

What incentives are available?

Programs vary by province and change over time. Your proposal lists every federal, provincial and utility incentive available at your address when we quote.

Will I have power during an outage?

Grid-tied systems switch off during outages for line-worker safety. With battery storage, your essential circuits keep running.

What warranties come with my system?

Panels carry a 25-year manufacturer performance warranty, and every Fidato installation has our 10-year workmanship guarantee, including roof penetrations.
